Indian Consul General Visits JIGER to Engage with International Students

On June 3, 2026, Mr. Chandru Appar, Consul General from the Consulate General of India in  Osaka-Kobe visited the Japan-India Global Education and Research Center (JIGER) at Shimane University.
The visit featured an insightful dialogue with five Indian international students.
During the session, students shared their academic journeys, current research projects, and their experiences living in Shimane.
Consul General Mr. Chandru Appar focused on the power of community, urging the students to strengthen networks among their peers across Japan.
He highlighted their important role as cultural ambassadors, encouraging them to share the unique benefits of the Japanese educational landscape with their home communities in India.
