On May 22nd, we held "Let's Get to Know India" event, aimed at helping students feel closer to India.
More than 40 students participated, including international students from India and other countries, providing an opportunity for students from diverse backgrounds to deepen their interactions, transcending language and cultural differences.

The event included a simple quiz to deepen knowledge about India, as well as an opportunity to try on traditional Indian clothes including saris for women and dhotis for men.

Furthermore, chai and Indian snacks were served, and participants enjoyed the new flavors, exclaiming "Sweet!" and "Spicy!"
The other displays included art and books. Some students found the classic Amar Chitra Katha series interesting.
It was a valuable opportunity for participating students to experience the atmosphere of India through all their senses.

In addition, there were opportunities for conversations about daily life and culture with international students, leading to new insights and discoveries for the participants.
Students commented, "My interest in India has increased," and "It was great to interact with Indian international students," indicating that the event served as a catalyst for broadening their interest in India.
The Japan India Global Education and Research Center is looking forward to plan more events in the future.
